We will have a Meet & Greet on Thursday Evening along with time to setup for class.  Class begins at 9 am on Friday.

Carol will teach you everything you need to know to create a beautiful forest of trees using your basic home sewing machine, some fabric scraps, and multiple threads.  The required kit includes all of the materials and threads that you will need.  Your project will be a smaller version (approx. 15” x 15”) of “Breathe” that is shown above.

The retreat includes:

A 4’ table and wheeled office chair. You may bring your own chair &/or seat cushion if you like.

Double occupancy bedrooms are upstairs along with 2 full bathrooms.

The class area is on the main floor.  Dessert, coffee, & wine will be provided Thursday evening.

Breakfast, lunch, & dinner are included for Friday & Saturday along with breakfast Sunday morning. 

Coffee & water are provided.  Please feel free to bring any other beverages.

An evening shopping trip to Quilting by the Hearth will be available to those who wish to go.

Black thread with several bobbins filled with black thread

Eye protection if you do not normally wear glasses

Basic sewing tools such as: fabric scissors, seam ripper, white marking tool that disappears

Small wool pressing mat

Assortment of 40wt, 100 wt, & 50 wt threads

(green, brown grey, white, off white, variegated green, variegated brown)

*Threads will be available for purchase

Small Fabric scraps (green, grey, rust, red, gold, blue, brown, or any color you may want to see in your trees)

Project supplies are provided so everyone is working with the same type of materials and batting.
