Kid's Class -- Beginning Sewing
Session One: 3 hours
Learn the basics about your machine:
- Hooking up cords, foot pedal.
- Parts of the machine
- How to thread the machine
- How to wind a bobbin
- Machine settings – type of stitch, stitch length, stitch width, feed dogs, presser feet
- Proper lighting, height of chair & table.
- Any special features
Session Two: 3 hours
Accurate measuring along with cutting with scissors & a rotary cutter
Measure and cut for pillowcase
Sew together using French seams
Press vs ironing
